Each model has its own nameplate, on which are inscribed the unique chassis number of each of the original Type 35 cars, the engine power and the inscription ‘1 of 1’.
The six Baby II Type 35 Centenary Editions feature an aluminum body and are finished with the superb Bleu de Lyon color, reminiscent of the original Type 35.
The six bespoke masterpieces that make up the Baby II Type 35 Centenary Edition family are inspired directly by the six original Bugatti Type 35 racecars that left the Molsheim Atelier 100 years ago.
The six Baby II Type 35 Centenary Editions hand-built by The Little Car Company artisans commemorate the 100th anniversary of the iconic Bugatti Type 35's participation in the Lyon Grand Prix in 1924.
In just ten years, the Type 35 secured no fewer than 2,500 victories and podium finishes, becoming the most successful racing car in all categories, a title it still holds 100 years later.
The six examples of the Baby II Type 35 Centenary Edition were presented for the first time at Château Saint Jean in Molsheim.
The six original cars that marked the legendary Type 35 dynamic debut at the 1924 Grand Prix de Lyon were driven with high-performance skill by Leonico Garnier (#21), Jean Chassagne (#7), Pierre de Vizcaya (#18), Meo Costantini (#22) and Ernest Friderich (#13).
One of the six Baby II Type 35 Centenary Editions, the example with no hand painted number, is a tribute to the original prototype that was kept in reserve by Ettore Bugatti.
